Yahoo perde 303 milhões no 4º trimestre de 2008

As perdas anunciadas após o fecho da bolsa de Nova Iorque (terça-feira)comparam com um resultado líquido positivo de 206 milhões de dólares no período de Outubro a Dezembro de 2007.

Por seu lado, o volume de negócios decresceu quase 2%, para 1,38 mil milhões de dólares, ligeiramente acima do esperado por analistas. Igualmente, o resultado trimestral, embora penalizado por custos de reestruturação e imparidades, acabou por sair melhor do que o esperado pelo mercado.

Assim, a maior concorrente da Google fechou o ano com lucros de 424 milhões de dólares, menos 35% face ao balanço de 2007, enquanto as receitas do exercício analisado progrediram 3%, para somar 7,2 mil milhões de dólares.
