Serviço mostra como ser o rei das buscas

Numa época marcada pelo excesso de informações, figurar com destaque nas páginas do Google ou de outros sistemas de busca pode ser o fiel da balança para uma marca se diferenciar da concorrência. Mas o que uma empresa que vende imóveis, por exemplo, deve fazer para que seu nome apareça entre as primeiras opções na web para um consumidor que faz uma busca pela palavra "apartamento?".

É nesse momento que entra em cena aquele que é o novo xodó do mercado de internet: o serviço de otimização de sites. Em poucas palavras, trata-se de, por meio de sistemas de programação, fazer com que determinado site apareça com destaque nos resultado de busca. Já bem desenvolvida na Europa e nos Estados Unidos, essa tendência agora começa a ganhar corpo no Brasil.
Uma pesquisa realizada nos Estados Unidos mostra que 87% dos internautas que realizam uma busca num site se detém na parte de cima da página, "sem nem mesmo correr a página até o final", comenta o especialista Bill Hunt, presidente da Global Strategies, que tem o Grupo Ogilvy como sócio. Outros 77% chegam a ver a primeira página inteira e 30% passam, no máximo, para a segunda página. "Estar na segunda página é a mesma coisa de não existir na internet", afirma o diretor de novos negócios da MediaClick, da AgênciaClick, Marcelo Sant’Iago. "Esse mercado ainda está em fase de amadurecimento no Brasil e passa a ser uma fonte de receita para as agências especializadas em internet", afirma o executivo.

Globalmente esse serviço recebeu o nome de Search Engine Optimization (SEO), algo como mecanismo de busca natural ou orgânico - termo muito utilizado pelos profissionais do meio. O conceito está dentro do Search Engine Marketing (SEM), o marketing para mecanismos de busca, que engloba diferentes conceitos, entre eles o de link patrocinado. "Apesar de fazerem parte da estratégia de comunicação da empresa, as duas ferramentas são completamente diferentes", conta Sant’Iago. "São verbas separadas. O link patrocinado faz parte da verba de mídia, enquanto a otimização para busca necessita, entre outras coisas, de um grande conhecimento técnico para transformar o site em referência sobre determinado assunto", completa o executivo.

"A procura dos serviços de SEO tem crescido muito nestes últimos anos, pois o mercado brasileiro começa a perceber a necessidade e a importância de terem seus sites bem posicionados nos buscadores, principalmente as empresas que dependem da internet para gerar seus negócios", comenta o gerente de SEO da Media Contacts, Marcos Brasil Peçanha.

"Para estar bem colocado na página de resultados, o site precisa preencher alguns parâmetros e, principalmente, ser relevante para o assunto pesquisado", afirma Hunt. Ele explica que, quanto mais vezes o site é acessado, quanto mais links sobre ele houver em outros sites importantes, maior a chance de estar bem posicionado nas buscas.

Entre alguns parâmetros analisados pelos buscadores estão o título da página que aparece no navegador, o título do texto principal da página e o primeiro parágrafo do texto principal. "Se a palavra-chave pesquisada aparecer nos três tópicos, o site possui uma grande chance de estar na primeira página de resultado", diz Hunt. Ele conta um caso de sucesso ocorrido nos Estados Unidos com a IBM. "Uma das divisões da companhia surgia na 175ª posição, quer dizer, não aparecia para o internauta", lembra. "Depois de um trabalho de otimização realizado com a página da divisão, hoje ela aparece na primeira ou na segunda colocação nas páginas de resultados".
Sant’Iago lembra que os sites de busca sempre mudam seus parâmetros para evitar que o sistema fique "viciado" e as mesmas empresas recebam destaque nas buscas. "O site tem que ser popular, muito visitado, ter links em sites importantes e confiáveis e tornar-se uma fonte relevante sobre determinado assunto", diz o executivo.
Ainda não existem dados sobre o uso da SEO no Brasil. Dados apresentados por Hunt sobre os Estados Unidos mostram evolução no uso dessa ferramenta. Em 2006 foram investidos US$ 6,2 bilhões, com um aumento para US$ 7,9 milhões no ano passado. Com base nesses resultados, a expectativa é atingir os US$ 16 bilhões em 2010. Dados globais mostram uma movimentação de US$ 10 bilhões em 2006, US$ 14 bilhões no ano passado e uma expectativa de chegar a US$ 33 bilhões em 2010.
Um dado importante sobre uso da otimização nos sites é que ele, de uma certa forma, democratizou a concorrência, independentemente do tamanho da empresa. "Uma companhia pode ser bem menor do que sua concorrente. Mas, se souber utilizar de forma correta sua imagem na internet, é possível que ela tenha melhores colocações nas buscas do que uma empresa grande. Esse ainda é um mercado novo e as empresa começam a olhá-lo com mais atenção", finaliza Hunt.
