Os brasileiros que adotam rapidamente as novas tecnologias, publicam conteúdo em sites colaborativos e escrevem blogs estão ganhando um papel de formadores de opinião cada vez mais importante. É que muitos internautas recorrem a informações em redes sociais, blogs, fóruns e sites wiki para realizar pesquisas cotidianas e até mesmo decidir qual produto irá comprar.

É a avaliação preliminar de uma pesquisa realizada pelo Ibope na Campus Party e divulgada em primeira mão pelo suplemento Link do jornal "O Estado de S. Paulo". O levantamento busca entender o perfil e os hábitos dos internautas chamados de "early adopters" e "heavy users".

Segundo Marcelo Coutinho, diretor de análise de mercado do Ibope, o objetivo da pesquisa, que entrevistou 600 pessoas durante o evento em São Paulo, não é fazer um perfil dos internautas brasileiros, nem mesmo dos participantes da Campus Party. "Queremos traçar graus de participação em redes sociais", diz . Ele afirma que a pesquisa é inédita no País.

O estudo identificou que grande parte dos entrevistados - 83% jovens entre 15 e 30 anos - busca informações na web em sites colaborativos e redes sociais. Porém, nem todos costumam publicar conteúdo em fóruns online, em sites como YouTube ou colaboram com artigos da Wikipedia.

Dos entrevistados, 90% disseram que usam ou já usaram a Wikipédia como fonte de informação, mas 64% responderam que nunca contribuíram para a enciclopédia online.

"Vimos que uma pessoa muito participativa em um tipo de site em geral também colabora com outros serviços", diz a analista de mercado do Ibope Rosi Rosendo, responsável pela pesquisa.

Segundo Marcelo Coutinho, o nível de participação é equivalente aos dados coletados por pesquisas nos Estados Unidos.

O principal motivo que leva os entrevistados a publicarem conteúdo é a diversão (29%). Em seguida vêm desenvolvimento profissional/vantagens financeiras (25%), aprendizagem e educação (24%) e ajudar os outros/ ajudar a comunidade (15%).

Os blogs são campeões de audiência para os entrevistados. Apenas 4% deles disseram nunca ter acessado um blog. Quase um terço deles também é autor de um site.

O Twitter, site de microblogging considerado tendência na internet em 2008, parece não ter tanta penetração entre os "early adopters" da Campus Party. Nada menos que 70% das pessoas nunca usaram o site.

As opiniões de outros usuários sobre produtos também são bastante procuradas antes de realizar uma compra: 89% dizem que consultam ou já consultaram comentários e avaliações de produtos na internet. Sites de fabricantes também são fonte de informação para 86% dos entrevistados.

"É uma extensão da vida offline deles porque costumam usar opiniões de pessoas próximas como referência. A diferença é que a internet não é um mecanismo de confiabilidade clássico", diz Rosendo.
